Petruț Dicu had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Franklin de Queiroz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. D.J. Smith kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Syd Cullen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 20th minute Yiğitcan Tugal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Dicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Real Death Ducks's goalkeeper Syd Cullen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hong Yao Peng. Syd Cullen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Rozarius in the 26th minute of the match. In the 26th match minute, Brujas KV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hong Yao Peng to maneuver through the defense. Petruț Dicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Otsando in the 32nd minute of play forced Real Death Ducks's goalkeeper Syd Cullen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ive Volckaerts in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petruț Dicu saved Brujas KV from getting behind. Petruț Dicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yiğitcan Tugal in the 36th minute of play. Brujas KV's Petruț Dicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yiğitcan Tugal in the 36th minute of play. Robin Hultstrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Dicu having to interfere. Syd Cullen made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Codruț Domuță sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yiğitcan Tugal was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Real Death Ducks's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Rozarius came free, but Syd Cullen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Death Ducks were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Brujas KV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ive Volckaerts took the corner. The corner ended in Marty Ødegaard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Brujas KV's Petruț Dicu did a great save. In the 64th minute, Robin Hultstrand reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Petruț Dicu. The goal made the score 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wen Feng Shi in the 66th minute of play forced Brujas KV's goalkeeper Petruț Dicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goalkeeper Petruț Dicu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robin Hultstrand. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Petruț Dicu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Real Death Ducks's zone, Martin Mundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Syd Cullen came out of the goal and Martin Mundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Syd Cullen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Domuță in the 75th minute of the match. Syd Cullen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Romero in the 78th minute of play. Syd Cullen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Mundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yiğitcan Tugal might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petruț Dicu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yiğitcan Tugal ran back to his position shaking his head. Codruț Domuță blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Syd Cullen having to make a save. A collision led to Brujas KV getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Renato Portalupi hit a great ball. Renato Portalupi charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renato Portalupi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Franklin de Queiroz placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Brujas KV's Petruț Dicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Hultstrand in the 96th minute of play. The Real Death Ducks supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Death Ducks would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
