Aristeo Potts took the corner. Enrique Enoch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Herbella in the 22nd minute of the match. Sindo Enterria got a throw-in 24 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Florencio Herbella. 28 minutes into the game, Marcial Zuazna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Enrique Enoch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Weather Piedrahita made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Stig Malmgren sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute, Florencio Herbella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atletico Maturrango's Cristobal Tabby managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Oriol Marmolejo in the 41 minute of the game. 44 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's Lucas Sardaneta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Enoch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Atletico Maturrango getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Marcial Zuazna hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

57 minutes into the match, union española s.a.'s goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Herbella came free, but Enrique Enoch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Malmgren in the 64th minute of play forced Atletico Maturrango's goalkeeper Weather Piedrahita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Ignacio Bugueño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atletico Maturrango's Orlin Hinojosa was substituted for Lucas Sardaneta. In the 73rd minute, Ederono Ojero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 77 played minutes Atletico Maturrango got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Tabby. Enrique Enoch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ederono Ojero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute of the match Atletico Maturrango got a corner. union española s.a.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hitzeder Serans ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Sindo Enterria managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Enrique Enoch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ederono Ojero in the 91st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Atletico Maturrango walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
