After some careless play in the Espigão Steamrollers defense, Richard Fredriksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonçalo de Medeiros. The Espigão Steamrollers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonçalo de Medeiros should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute, Kara Bhattacharya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toni Schumacher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 柳远桑 in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute Richard Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Roneixon Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes Espigão Steamrollers got a freekick which was hit by Pieter-Maarten Van Beets. Gonçalo de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Pååk in the 45th minute of the match. The Espigão Steamrollers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Bullen were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Roneixon Siqueira made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Espigão Steamrollers getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Pieter-Maarten Van Beets hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, FC Bullen's Kurt Pååk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gonçalo de Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of FC Bullen booed when Espigão Steamrollers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Drake in the 79th minute of play. Espigão Steamrollers's Nuno Tavares quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Verner Hägert, made in the 80th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philip Drake in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonçalo de Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Espigão Steamrollers's zone, Philip Drake stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo de Medeiros came out of the goal and Philip Drake tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Gonçalo de Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute Yuri Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Schumacher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
