An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Zoff in the 3rd minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Matei Răducu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Zoff in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Alessandro Bertoni made a precise shot to the right of Matei Răducu. MarquinhosEC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Enzo Oroni managed to get in a good position for a shot. CLC Winter's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Oroni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matei Răducu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the match, CLC Winter's goal looked a bit too open when Harm de Freitas came free, but Franco Bosso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Enzo Oroni sped through MarquinhosEC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matei Răducu. MarquinhosEC's Alessandro do Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Zoff in the 26th minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Matei Răducu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When CLC Winter's Ciro Zoff, in the 26th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for CLC Winter. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Oroni in the 33rd minute of play. Pedrinho Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Dennis Berardi kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessandro do Valle to make the kick off. After some careless play in the MarquinhosEC defense, Alessandro Bertoni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matei Răducu. The MarquinhosEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matei Răducu should have stopped the shot. The supporters of MarquinhosEC booed when CLC Winter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermanno Ruzzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. MarquinhosEC's Marco Tardelli was substituted for Harm de Freitas. Armando Costantino made in the 66th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Dennis Berardi however managed to control. CLC Winter's Franco Bosso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Freitas in the 67th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Vágner Porto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Inácio Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the match, Alessandro Bertoni dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Matei Răducu, 0-4. MarquinhosEC's attentive Barrie Deacon managed to snatch the ball when Dennis Berardi made a throw-in in the 79th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute, Barrie Deacon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MarquinhosEC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Bertoni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matei Răducu was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, CLC Winter's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Di Blasio came free, but Franco Bosso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Bosso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CLC Winter would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
