In the 5th minute Claes Fender shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruben Montez was a little too slow when Léo Souto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Novaes in the 10th minute of play forced Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goalkeeper Ruben Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's attentive André Kuipers managed to snatch the ball when Francisco Queirós made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Cambotinha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Claes Fender came free, but Claudinho Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredinho Negri hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Claudinho Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Fender, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yan Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The tension between the Hala Madrid Iraki FC and the Cambotinha EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cambotinha EC booed when Hala Madrid Iraki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chip Potterton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hala Madrid Iraki FC's zone, Doğaner Doğu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Montez came out of the goal and Doğaner Doğu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cambotinha EC's Doğaner Doğu got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goalkeeper Ruben Montez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yan Santana. Cambotinha EC's Claudinho Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Fender in the 38th minute of play. If Claes Fender had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 42 minutes into the match, Cambotinha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Claes Fender came free, but Claudinho Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claes Fender struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Claudinho Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hala Madrid Iraki FC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claes Fender made a kick off. Yan Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's attentive André Kuipers managed to snatch the ball when Francisco Queirós made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Novaes in the 62nd minute of play forced Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goalkeeper Ruben Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Johannes Sjögren was substituted for Claes Fender. Falcão Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute Doğaner Doğu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 minutes Hala Madrid Iraki FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Falcão Novaes who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Cambotinha EC's Claudinho Azevedo got control of the ball when Johannes Sjögren tried to sneak it across the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Francisco Queirós threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's André Kuipers quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Johannes Sjögren might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinho Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johannes Sjögren ran back to his position shaking his head. 90 minutes into the match, Léo Souto notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Ruben Montez. Ruben Montez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cambotinha EC had played much better football throughout.
