Mariano Silbestre charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Silbestre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Mariano Silbestre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrício Lustosa struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Victoriano Bernaldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia Monte Gordo. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Academia Monte Gordo's attentive Arana Ponta managed to snatch the ball when Mariano Silbestre made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darryl Buckner in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mao Zhen Hong saved Academia Monte Gordo from getting behind. Fryderyk Grucza scored 1-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Academia Monte Gordo's Simon Matsson got a free kick in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Darryl Buckner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mao Zhen Hong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mao Zhen Hong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darryl Buckner's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After 88 minutes Academia Monte Gordo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claudio Cerritos who took care of the corner kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Academia Monte Gordo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Dep Colonia Avellaneda. Santo Libertad stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mao Zhen Hong. 1-2. A collision led to Dep Colonia Avellaneda getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Mariano Silbestre hit a great ball. Victoriano Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fryderyk Grucza in the 94th minute of play. After 96 minutes Dep Colonia Avellaneda's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arana Ponta who took care of the corner kick. With an all-out effort, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Mao Zhen Hong threw himself towards the right post 98 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Darryl Buckner, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Academia Monte Gordo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dep Colonia Avellaneda's performance. The match ended with a win for Dep Colonia Avellaneda.
