The tension between the Dep Colonia Avellaneda and the Los Andes FC - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Dep Colonia Avellaneda getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mariano Silbestre hit a great ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper João Carlos Lucas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Darryl Buckner might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Carlos Lucas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darryl Buckner ran back to his position shaking his head. A throw-in in the 21st minute of the game was made by Fortunato Froněk with Gernando Azevedo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Gernando Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Bernaldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gernando Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roman Quexal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Bernaldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gernando Azevedo. But to his dismay, Gernando Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Victoriano Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Claudio Cerritos in the 41st minute. The corner led Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Claudio Cerritos to fire away a dangerous shot which João Carlos Lucas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 43 minutes in the game Fortunato Froněk did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gernando Azevedo. Mariano Silbestre was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
