Sven-Olof Vestlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Alexandros Ismael made a huge save. Joar Scheie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Ciolli in the 6th minute of the match. Joar Scheie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tao Cheng Han went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alexandros Ismael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pan Wei Quan in the 22nd minute of play. Joar Scheie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Galeno in the 31st minute of the match. Sven-Olof Vestlund's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Alexandros Ismael skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joar Scheie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Galeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when CAN ERZURUM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aybars Demirci didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes of play, Águilas Poblanas's Jacinto Galeno made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joar Scheie was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Águilas Poblanas made a substitution. Virgilio Txindoki replaced Tao Cheng Han. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Galeno made a kick off. Joar Scheie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Txindoki in the 55th minute of the match. Alexandros Ismael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Sven-Olof Vestlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CAN ERZURUM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Olof Vestlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandros Ismael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 64th minute of play. Sven-Olof Vestlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandros Ismael. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Olof Vestlund ran back to his position shaking his head. Alexandros Ismael came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by CAN ERZURUM's Sven-Olof Vestlund. But to his dismay, Sven-Olof Vestlund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Águilas Poblanas's Levi Lanen was substituted for Iker Urti. 76 minutes into the game, Sven-Olof Vestlund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Alexandros Ismael was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute Eusebio Beltran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joar Scheie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, CAN ERZURUM's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Txindoki came free, but Joar Scheie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Sven-Olof Vestlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandros Ismael. Águilas Poblanas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Olof Vestlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Joar Scheie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Beltran, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 94thth minute of the game Eusebio Beltran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CAN ERZURUM's Joar Scheie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. CAN ERZURUM's Sven-Olof Vestlund got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. CAN ERZURUM were victorious despite being under pressure from Águilas Poblanas for much of the match.
