A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Carles Borg hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Emrah Baysoy kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Palermo's Santiago Mino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nusrettin Özilter. Nusrettin Özilter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Mino in the 61st minute of play forced Büyükçekmece FC.'s goalkeeper Nusrettin Özilter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cem Tokkan charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cem Tokkan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Anthony Bonelli from long distance, 95 minutes into the match, got Nusrettin Özilter's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The Büyükçekmece FC. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Palermo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
