An unexpectedly hard shot by 西门 金 in the 10th minute of play forced Herta Budino's goalkeeper Fortunato Sangermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achille Di Crescenzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 楚战树 having to interfere. Fortunato Sangermano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 西门 金, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Achille Di Crescenzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. 楚战树 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herta Budino's Dan Rowell was substituted for Achille Di Crescenzo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
