The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Davide Rinaldi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herta Budino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davide Rinaldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Thor Gaarder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjønstad BF's Jarle Volden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 10th minute of play. Davide Rinaldi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarle Volden having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 12th minute of play forced Kjønstad BF's goalkeeper Jarle Volden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luís Peixoto made a great header on Kjønstad BF's corner, it was just that Herta Budino's Fortunato Sangermano managed to reach the ball for a save. Toma Lechev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Herta Budino's Fortunato Sangermano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toma Lechev in the 31st minute of play. Jarle Volden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Jarle Volden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 42nd minute. Jarle Volden was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Davide Rinaldi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 44 minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Herta Budino's Davide Rinaldi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarle Volden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Herta Budino's Fortunato Sangermano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thor Gaarder in the 52nd minute of play. The throw-in from Tamer Aksel in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Herta Budino's Angelo Di Livio. In the 54th minute Davide Rinaldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarle Volden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kjønstad BF booed when Herta Budino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Tăgorean didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 minutes, Tamer Aksel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kjønstad BF and the Herta Budino players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Kjønstad BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tamer Aksel to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th match minute, Kjønstad BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Panfilo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Fábio Grosso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herta Budino's supporters rose to their feet, but Fábio Grosso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 71st minute Herta Budino were awarded a corner. Fábio Grosso went to the cornerflag to take it. Davide Rinaldi took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jarle Volden. Jarle Volden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Americo Panfilo kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Americo Panfilo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 80th minute of play forced Kjønstad BF's goalkeeper Jarle Volden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarle Volden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davide Rinaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarle Volden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Rinaldi in the 90th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Herta Budino players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
