Fernando Morientes scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Basso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abdulkerim Türköne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kiran Tomasini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Francisco Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Basso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Matthias Lepage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Luna in the 32nd minute of play forced Ipswich Traktor Boys's goalkeeper Marcos Basso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Basso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Mino, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Jorge Luna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Marcos Basso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. THE ROKERY PIMKIS made a substitution. René Stocker replaced Christian Mastroiacovo. THE ROKERY PIMKIS's Juan Corredor was substituted for Fernando Morientes. THE ROKERY PIMKIS made a substitution. Neil Dussling replaced Matthias Lepage. Kiran Tomasini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Lundqvist in the 81st minute of play. During this time THE ROKERY PIMKIS's players had a chance to rest. 90 minutes into the match, THE ROKERY PIMKIS's goal looked a bit too open when Niklas Lundqvist came free, but Kiran Tomasini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Marcos Basso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jorge Luna in the 93rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. It was a well-played corner which Francisco Mino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Niklas Lundqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
