The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Varglien came free, but Michel Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Čech stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ettore Varglien's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Elia Ciscato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlo Arruta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ettore Varglien's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Michel Čech skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Esquirla FC booed when PICCOLE PESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans Beckenbauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arlo Arruta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elia Ciscato having to interfere. Arlo Arruta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elia Ciscato read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind PICCOLE PESTI's goalkeeper Elia Ciscato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlo Arruta in the 37th minute of play forced PICCOLE PESTI's goalkeeper Elia Ciscato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Arlo Arruta made a precise shot to the right of Elia Ciscato. PICCOLE PESTI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half Esquirla FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arlo Arruta in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elia Ciscato saved PICCOLE PESTI from getting behind. Arlo Arruta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elia Ciscato having to make a save. PICCOLE PESTI's Elia Ciscato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save PICCOLE PESTI from getting a goal against them. Michel Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Vedillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Elia Ciscato didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Michel Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Vedillo in the 72nd minute of play. If Arlo Arruta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pietruzzu Rizzi replaced Ettore Varglien. A collision led to Esquirla FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Yvan Maes hit a great ball. In the 88th minute of the match Donato Dossena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michel Čech showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Jakobsson came free, but Michel Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elia Ciscato came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Esquirla FC's Lukas Caers. But to his dismay, Lukas Caers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Esquirla FC's Michel Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pietruzzu Rizzi in the 95th minute of play. Alfredo Bertran hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Michel Čech didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardino Vedillo went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esquirla FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
