Without hesitation aimed to the right of Omar Duardo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Omar Duardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ingvar Strand in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

50 minutes into the game, Denílson Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red John S.K's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vancouver Reds the free kick. 52 minutes into the match, Red John S.K's goalkeeper Cássio Corinth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolás Castillo. Joan Carrasco got a throw-in 53 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Nicolás Castillo. When Red John S.K's Ingvar Strand in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vancouver Reds's Omar Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Bach in the 67th minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, Red John S.K's Sebastian Bach made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Omar Duardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute, Sebastian Bach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red John S.K fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 76 minutes into the game, Eugène Jetté threw the ball into play from the sideline. Red John S.K's Henrique Ramalho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 87th minute, Guo Ke Peng ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio Corinth was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Caetano Reyo's late challenge caught a Vancouver Reds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caetano Reyo helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Red John S.K fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! Red John S.K:s Cássio Corinth showed great skill when he stopped Nicolás Castillo:s penalty. In the 91st minute, Nicolás Castillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio Corinth was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Vancouver Reds's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
