Kolopetinitsa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Penha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nial Peyton got free with Mickaël Maris in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laércio Penha to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Kolopetinitsa's Nikos Pantaleon got a free kick in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dimitris Botinos during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Kolopetinitsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Botinos to maneuver through the defense.
