Grandi Lupi's Alfonz Kállai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Penha in the 18th minute of play. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Tomás Mazza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Frank Leoni in the 20 minute of the game. Mickaël Maris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazuste Flores, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. With a little luck, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris got control of the ball when Charly Alberti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfonz Kállai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Penha in the 29th minute of the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Nova Iguaçu MZFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomás Mazza in the 59th minute. After taking down the ball on Nova Iguaçu MZFC's corner Tomás Mazza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfonz Kállai quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Carolo Cambranes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carolo Cambranes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonz Kállai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laércio Penhas short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Alfonz Kállai to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alfonz Kállai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Penha in the 67th minute of play. Mickaël Maris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis-Philippe Damman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute Louis-Philippe Damman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickaël Maris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Tristezza came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonz Kállai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Vaz in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Tristezza came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 minutes of play, Grandi Lupi's Louis-Philippe Damman made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mickaël Maris was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Grandi Lupi were the better team. Grandi Lupi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
