Beech United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Segundo Eufemio ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Fabrício Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Cordeiro in the 30th minute of play forced Compugraf's goalkeeper Duda Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Compugraf's He Nan Lei was substituted for Segundo Eufemio. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabrício Cordeiro to make the kick off. After 59 played minutes Compugraf got a freekick which was hit by Valer Jurca. Compugraf's Guto Campidelis was substituted for Valer Jurca. A collision led to Compugraf getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Valer Jurca hit a great ball. In the 64th match minute, Compugraf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. Compugraf's Chico Freire was substituted for Xantalen Titos. The supporters of Beech United booed when Compugraf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chico Freire got free with Emanuele Zoff in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A sloppy throw-in by Stefan Hancock in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Compugraf's Fernandão Barbosa. After 72 played minutes Compugraf got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Fernandes. 73 minutes into the match, Beech United's Dumitru Ghițulescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duda Veiga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Compugraf's Chico Freire sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuele Zoff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emanuele Zoff was a little too slow when Chico Freire got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Dumitru Ghițulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beech United's supporters rose to their feet, but Dumitru Ghițulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duda Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
