In the 9thth minute of the game Panos Tsabis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piquirenda FC's Didi Papardelas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Kolopetinitsa getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Panagiotis Kaliasis hit a great ball. Güralp Uğurtan made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Laureano Abeita sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Kolopetinitsa's Giorgos Kouklakis got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jilian Oosters got free with Güralp Uğurtan in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eugenio Bernal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Güralp Uğurtan made a huge save. In the 23rd match minute, Kolopetinitsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panagiotis Kaliasis to maneuver through the defense. Kolopetinitsa's Güralp Uğurtan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Bernal in the 42nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Piquirenda FC's Güralp Uğurtan threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eugenio Bernal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 58th minute Laureano Abeita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güralp Uğurtan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nial Peyton kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Piquirenda FC's keeper Didi Papardelas was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Piquirenda FC made a substitution. Severiano Ibañez replaced Laureano Abeita. Kolopetinitsa were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Piquirenda FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Panagiotis Kaliasis took the corner. 65 minutes into the game when Bengt-Rune Wennerlund tried to clear up in front of the goal it happened that the ball rolled into goal via right pole. An extremely disappointing self made goal which led to 0-3. In the 68th minute, Eugenio Bernal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Güralp Uğurtan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Eugenio Bernal scored 3-3 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Güralp Uğurtan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Eugenio Bernal notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Kolopetinitsa's Güralp Uğurtan. Güralp Uğurtan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 85 minutes into the game, Piquirenda FC's Eugenio Bernal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Güralp Uğurtan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Angelo Che managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piquirenda FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Che was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Güralp Uğurtan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Didi Papardelas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Tsabis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Piquirenda FC's Didi Papardelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Tsabis in the 93rd minute of play. Fanis Kostarakis's late challenge caught a Piquirenda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fanis Kostarakis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th match minute, Kolopetinitsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fanis Kostarakis to maneuver through the defense. After 98 played minutes Piquirenda FC got a freekick which was hit by Gwidon Czajka. Kolopetinitsa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
