SITIO CITY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Gato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Garth Brough notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SITIO CITY's Zé Gato. Zé Gato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Keylor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute of the game, Brown Haslett landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Fabio Onbera fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SITIO CITY's protests and gave Fabio Onbera a yellow card for diving instead. Australian Youth Academy made a substitution. Larry Baba replaced Brown Haslett. Fabio Onbera kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Garth Brough left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Australian Youth Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 44 minutes of play SITIO CITY's Fabio Onbera was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Australian Youth Academy made a substitution. Lawrance Alwege replaced Larry Baba. After 46 played minutes SITIO CITY got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Onbera. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Garth Brough stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Garcia in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keylor Navas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ellis Hoskin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SITIO CITY's Carlos Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Garth Brough notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of SITIO CITY's Zé Gato. Zé Gato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind SITIO CITY's goalkeeper Zé Gato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Garcia in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keylor Navas saved Australian Youth Academy from getting behind. Keylor Navas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Garcia went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. SITIO CITY's Pierre-Paul Swin was substituted for Chiquinho Pereira. Gaspar Olando kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garth Brough in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Gato saved SITIO CITY from getting behind. In the 93rd minute Luís Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Australian Youth Academy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
