In the 15th minute, Piara Santo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ariel Mourelatos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Bruce Cornforth got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jacinto Naelio. 31 minutes into the match, Waitakere F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Goleš came free, but Marcos Burni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piara Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Mourelatos having to interfere. Marcos Burni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Goleš, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Zacarias Goleš took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Burni. Marcos Burni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarias Goleš in the 47th minute of play forced Waitakere F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Burni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Zacarias Goleš made the kick off in the second half. Ariel Mourelatos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gar Gamel in the 56th minute of the match. Waitakere F.C.'s Piara Santo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waitakere F.C.'s Eduardo Vasco was substituted for Gar Gamel. Waitakere F.C.'s Marius Gherghe was substituted for Piara Santo. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Marius Gherghe put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ariel Mourelatos. Amboy FC made a substitution. Christiano Castro replaced Zacarias Goleš. Marcos Senesi made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Marius Gherghe. Ariel Mourelatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nacho Scocco, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Gherghe in the 72nd minute of play. With his leg Marcos Burni managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Amboy FC's Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 84 minutes into the game, Marius Gherghe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ariel Mourelatos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 90 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Gherghe came free, but Ariel Mourelatos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Waitakere F.C. booed when Amboy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Kauldi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waitakere F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
