Goffrey Sas started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Erik Allikmäe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 4 played minutes Basmane Texas got a freekick which was hit by Tero Kokkonen. After a defensive mix-up in Basmane Texas's zone, Jaspar Van Den Broeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Armani came out of the goal and Jaspar Van Den Broeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brugge United's Vítor Baia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Brugge United from getting a goal against them. Franco Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 15th minute of the match. Goffrey Sas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Armani having to interfere. If Gürsel Aksel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Goffrey Sas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franco Armani was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the match, Basmane Texas's goal looked a bit too open when Jaspar Van Den Broeck came free, but Franco Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goffrey Sas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Basmane Texas's corner Borys Budarz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vítor Baia quite easily take care of the ball. Gürsel Aksel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Vítor Baia made a huge save. Franco Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goffrey Sas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute of the match Brugge United got a corner. Basmane Texas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaspar Van Den Broeck ran over to the corner to take the kick. Laurențiu Roşculeţ was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Herbert Pietrowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match.

Brugge United's Waud Huijbrechts was substituted for Jaspar Van Den Broeck. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gürsel Aksel to make the kick off. Goffrey Sas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Franco Armani made a huge save. Franco Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ümit Karan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürsel Aksel in the 60th minute of play. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürsel Aksel in the 64th minute of play. After 73 minutes, Arnauld Van Impe made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Basmane Texas's Franco Armani tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken was substituted for Goffrey Sas. 79 minutes into the match, Basmane Texas's goalkeeper Franco Armani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ümit Karan. With a little luck, Basmane Texas's Franco Armani got control of the ball when Ümit Karan tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Brugge United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Basmane Texas throughout the match.
