With his leg Henri-Patrick De Mare managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Linköpings AIK's Arvid Carlsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 47th minute, Sait Remzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Linköpings AIK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vc Brye were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sait Remzi to make the kick off. Julien Staffelbach scored 1-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henri-Patrick De Mare, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Albin Nilsson took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henri-Patrick De Mare. Henri-Patrick De Mare dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Sait Remzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Jimmy Olsson made a huge save. Henri-Patrick De Mare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Nilsson in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvid Carlsson in the 70th minute of play forced Vc Brye's goalkeeper Henri-Patrick De Mare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henri-Patrick De Mare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julien Staffelbach in the 75th minute of play. Vc Brye's Henri-Patrick De Mare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Nilsson in the 83rd minute of play. Cristian Vieri hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Cristian Vieri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoffry Lefevre in the 90th minute of play. Henri-Patrick De Mare came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Arvid Carlsson. But to his dismay, Arvid Carlsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Jimmy Olsson made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Geoffry Lefevre sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Linköpings AIK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vc Brye had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
