The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Glasgow Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gentil Setúbal came free, but Dave Clemente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ettore Placidi in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Máximo Laureano saved Terceirense F.C. from getting behind. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Glasgow Rangers FC's goalkeeper Dave Clemente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Máximo Laureano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Natalucci in the 43rd minute of play. Angelo Goffredo made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Terceirense F.C.'s Leonel Ventura. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Natalucci to make the kick off. Máximo Laureano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Natalucci's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Terceirense F.C.'s Aleksander Kapera was substituted for Fabien Raillard. After a rather tough play, Glasgow Rangers FC's Anthony Amatori got a free kick in the 67th minute. Dave Clemente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavi Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Máximo Laureano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Natalucci in the 77th minute of play. Nahuel Molina hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Terceirense F.C.'s Xavi Xavier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dave Clemente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlo Attili in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Máximo Laureano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute Xavi Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Clemente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xavi Xavier in the 95th minute. Terceirense F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
