But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ermegildo Errolan couldn't finish the play. Sébastien Frey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Uncheşu in the 14th minute of the match. William Rigg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 20 minutes of play, TORQUE F.C.'s Tomás Cordarin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emmanuel Canturri was left in no man's land by his defense there! TORQUE F.C.'s Sébastien Frey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save TORQUE F.C. from getting a goal against them. William Rigg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sébastien Frey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. William Rigg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sébastien Frey came out and tried to block the shot, but William Rigg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 34th minute. In the 43rd minute, Martin Mols hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Rigg made a kick off. The Valar's Emmanuel Canturri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Cordarin in the 53rd minute of play. Tomás Cordarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. TORQUE F.C.'s Tomás Cordarin got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Valar's Aulë Vala was substituted for Manwë Vala. TORQUE F.C.'s Claes Sjögren quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ulmo Vala, made in the 63rd minute of the game. Sébastien Frey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Rigg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, The Valar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aulë Vala to maneuver through the defense. Emmanuel Canturri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Klawki in the 70th minute of play. After 71 minutes The Valar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ermegildo Errolan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led TORQUE F.C.'s Ermegildo Errolan to fire away a dangerous shot which Emmanuel Canturri despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tomás Cordarin charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Cordarin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Tomás Cordarin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, TORQUE F.C.'s Romulo Estebano got a free kick in the 85th minute. Aulë Vala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sébastien Frey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The Valar's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
