The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, SRP-Laguna's Xu Le Shu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 9th minute, Xu Le Shu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dani Hernández was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Nilmar Marinho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 32ndth minute of the game Nilmar Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SRP-Laguna's Anderson Laguna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dani Hernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Furtado in the 34th minute of the match. The Chivos de Punto Fijo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SRP-Laguna were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Xu Le Shu made the kick off in the second half.
