Michel Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pan Lin Zhen in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute Pan Lin Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pan Lin Zhen in the 8th minute of play forced Olavarria FC's goalkeeper Michel Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Zachariasz Dudkowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isaias Matas took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zachariasz Dudkowski. Zachariasz Dudkowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Isaias Matas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 30 minutes into the game, Pan Lin Zhen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Michel Hendrickx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of CRUZ DEL SUR booed when Olavarria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thys Lenoir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zachariasz Dudkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Matas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zachariasz Dudkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Matas in the 35th minute of the match. Abundio Manzano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel Hendrickx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Bautista Marcó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Michel Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pan Lin Zhen in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Isaias Matas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zachariasz Dudkowski was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Zachariasz Dudkowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaias Matas's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Isaias Matas struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Zachariasz Dudkowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olavarria FC. CRUZ DEL SUR's Eustacio Antonucci was substituted for Abundio Manzano. Olavarria FC's Timy Wolfdoncx was substituted for Thys Lenoir. CRUZ DEL SUR made a substitution. Fabio Zorondo replaced Ronnie Odell. Olavarria FC made a substitution. Ervigio Ojeda replaced Isaias Matas. The throw-in from Fan Yong Zhan in the 76th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Olavarria FC's Robby Van Steen. Michel Hendrickx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Estefan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 minutes of play, Olavarria FC's Ervigio Ojeda made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zachariasz Dudkowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the game, Ervigio Ojeda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Zachariasz Dudkowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Olavarria FC defense, Augusto Estefan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michel Hendrickx. The Olavarria FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michel Hendrickx should have stopped the shot. Eustacio Antonucci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
