After 2 played minutes Nouvelle Vague got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Barros. 7 minutes into the match, Evtim Kúrdzhev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicky Donda. Nouvelle Vague's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evtim Kúrdzhev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. CD Municipal's George Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Genovese in the 11th minute of play. Vicky Donda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 16th minute of play. Vicky Donda came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto. But to his dismay, Enrique Cassaretto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Vicky Donda successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 20th match minute, Nouvelle Vague was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nouvelle Vague fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Vicky Donda went to the wrong direction when Călin Morovan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Nouvelle Vague getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Paulo Renato Corrêa hit a great ball. Nouvelle Vague's Juninho Juni got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute Evtim Kúrdzhev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicky Donda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Nouvelle Vague's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Vicky Donda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nouvelle Vague's goalkeeper Vicky Donda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Enrique Cassaretto came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the CD Municipal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Cassaretto couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Ugutz in the 44th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Casimiro Ugutz made the kick off in the second half. Casimiro Ugutz struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. George Forsyth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nouvelle Vague. Nouvelle Vague's Osmar Vale was substituted for Vito Genovese. 57 minutes into the game, Mouricio Zuri threw the ball into play from the sideline. Nouvelle Vague's Efrain Cordarius quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience thought a goal was coming when Casimiro Ugutz got free with George Forsyth in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vicky Donda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evtim Kúrdzhev in the 69th minute of play. In the 75th minute Casimiro Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Nouvelle Vague's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Vicky Donda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Forsyth made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Casimiro Ugutz sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Casimiro Ugutz got free with George Forsyth in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. George Forsyth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Casimiro Ugutz's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. CD Municipal made a substitution. Ryota Miyagi replaced Zlatan Molina. CD Municipal's Oliver Ramon was substituted for Evtim Kúrdzhev. A throw-in in the 87th minute of the game was made by Mouricio Zuri with Oalo Dean as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 91 minutes into the match, Luis Henrico dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of George Forsyth, 2-1. Luis Henrico received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. George Forsyth came out and tried to block the shot, but Luis Henrico slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 94th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
