Åsnes's Poyraz Erçetin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by He Wei Feng, made in the 35th minute of the game. Filomeno Igon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sturle Åsland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasios Boukouvalas in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kim Alnes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filomeno Igon might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sturle Åsland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filomeno Igon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th minute Filomeno Igon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sturle Åsland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
