The audience was convinced that Willian Pay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Forsyth was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Mouricio Zuri's late challenge caught a Habsburgo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mouricio Zuri helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, CD Municipal's Mouricio Zuri got a free kick in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Willian Pay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Forsyth. CD Municipal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Willian Pay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Tulio Andinyach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Habsburgo's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17th minute CD Municipal were awarded a corner. Iacob Roman went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on CD Municipal's corner Mosen Colillas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Honorato Aznaro quite easily take care of the ball. George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willian Pay in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Habsburgo got a corner. CD Municipal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Domenico Di Nino ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Domenico Di Nino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CD Municipal's George Forsyth did a great save. In the 35th match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yunus Mahşer to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Hârșu's late challenge caught a CD Municipal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Hârșu helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Habsburgo got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Hârșu. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrique Cassaretto to strike the kick off in the second half. Enrique Cassaretto took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Honorato Aznaro. Honorato Aznaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willian Pay in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Forsyth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Habsburgo's Herberts Dreizis was substituted for Emanuel Hârșu. Edgardo Oihenarte made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Herberts Dreizis. George Forsyth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Froylan in the 61st minute of the match. CD Municipal's George Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberts Dreizis in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Habsburgo booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mosen Colillas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Levent Itzov got free with George Forsyth in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, Habsburgo's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Honorato Aznaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Cassaretto. 81 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Herberts Dreizis came free, but George Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Habsburgo's Levent Itzov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Forsyth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Sebastian Froylan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 91st playminute. With 94 minutes on the clock, Mosen Colillas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of CD Municipal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Habsburgo:s goal. The referee gave Habsburgo a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Domenico Di Nino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CD Municipal's George Forsyth. 2-4. The Habsburgo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Habsburgo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
