With an all-out effort, Ñacuñán AC's Luizinho Paranaense threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Santos Cayo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 38 minutes Atlético Bucaramanga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hector Fero who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Hector Fero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Bucaramanga's Luizinho Paranaense did a great save. Adam Czubski hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Luizinho Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Guib in the 41st minute of play. Raul Lipp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xacintu Ribeiro in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Atlético Bucaramanga were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Xacintu Ribeiro spun around in front of the goal 52 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ñacuñán AC's goal. Benito Dodorol made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Atlético Bucaramanga's Eric Eftimescu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernando Harroyo in the 64th minute of play forced Ñacuñán AC's goalkeeper Raul Lipp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Lipp made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Hernando Harroyo sent off a good shot on target. Raul Lipp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberino Vieitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético Bucaramanga's Luizinho Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Otoniel in the 73rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hernando Harroyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Lipp was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Ñacuñán AC's Raul Lipp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerson Gonzales in the 79th minute of play. Atlético Bucaramanga played a much better game than Ñacuñán AC and deserved their victory. The Ñacuñán AC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
