With an all-out effort, Franja Dorada's Evandro Lara threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patricio Abajas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Venancio Hodei came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Marquês de Herval's Manfredo Domingues. But to his dismay, Manfredo Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Patricio Abajas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Evandro Lara. Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Franja Dorada's Venancio Hodei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Clemente in the 19th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Marquês de Herval's Manfredo Domingues made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Venancio Hodei was left in no man's land by his defense there! Venancio Hodei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Clemente, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Urbano Sagrario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evandro Lara was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Gustavo Goito capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustavo Goito really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. 39 minutes into the game, Bartolo Igon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Franja Dorada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marquês de Herval the free kick. The supporters of Marquês de Herval booed when Franja Dorada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Igon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Luís Fabiano Clemente notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Franja Dorada's Venancio Hodei. Venancio Hodei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Franja Dorada getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Bartolo Igon hit a great ball. Marquês de Herval's Silas Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseu Braga to strike the kick off in the second half. Venancio Hodei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes into the match, Franja Dorada's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Domingues came free, but Venancio Hodei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Marquês de Herval defense, Urbano Sagrario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evandro Lara. The Marquês de Herval fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evandro Lara should have stopped the shot. Evandro Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Sagrario, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute Urbano Sagrario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Franja Dorada booed when Marquês de Herval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venancio Hodei didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-4. In the 76th match minute, Franja Dorada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Sagrario to maneuver through the defense. Urbano Sagrario kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Bartolo Igon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evandro Lara having to make a save. Evandro Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Palban in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Alfonso Palban left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Franja Dorada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Marquês de Herval had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
