The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Salim Adas made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in De Boedo Vengo's zone, Hélder dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salim Adas came out of the goal and Hélder dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Teixeiras short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Salim Adas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. LauerArmy's Falcão Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Lalla in the 20th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Hélder dos Santos rounded De Boedo Vengo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. The supporters of De Boedo Vengo booed when LauerArmy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeu Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Teobaldo Fertus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Boedo Vengo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Salim Adas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. James Rodriguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Adas having to interfere. In the 67th minute Angelo Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salim Adas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salim Adas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind De Boedo Vengo's goalkeeper Salim Adas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. LauerArmy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paulo Renato Valladares in the 83rd minute. LauerArmy's Falcão Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save LauerArmy from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Boedo Vengo's goalkeeper Salim Adas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LauerArmy fans cheered their team off the field, for while De Boedo Vengo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
