Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Américo Díaz made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute Loreto Abaurre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickey Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Key Biscayne FC's Rickey Joseph played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Díaz in the 12th minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Kalatakaya F.C.'s Fernandez Abeitia tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 16 played minutes Kalatakaya F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Abascal. A collision led to Kalatakaya F.C. getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Urritz Abechuco hit a great ball. Luis Ibarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Solomon Samuels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Key Biscayne FC's Lucas Akins seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lucas Akins the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Key Biscayne FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lucas Akins had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 31 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Rickey Joseph had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessandro Abajas. A collision led to Kalatakaya F.C. getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jonathan Abecia hit a great ball. Lance Pate took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luis Ibarra. Luis Ibarra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Key Biscayne FC booed when Kalatakaya F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Abecia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tristan Alford fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Key Biscayne FC's protests and gave Tristan Alford a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kalatakaya F.C. booed when Key Biscayne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tristan Alford didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Key Biscayne FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lance Pate to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Kalatakaya F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Rea. 56 minutes into the match, Kalatakaya F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lance Pate came free, but Luis Ibarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Kalatakaya F.C. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Urritz Abechuco hit a great ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Solomon Samuels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Key Biscayne FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Solomon Samuels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kalatakaya F.C.'s zone, Jesse Shannon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Ibarra came out of the goal and Jesse Shannon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Ibarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lance Pate, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Alessandro Abajas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rickey Joseph having to make a save. Rickey Joseph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loreto Abaurre in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Walter Slater got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolando Rea kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesse Shannon in the 93rd minute of play forced Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Ibarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Key Biscayne FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
