The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FV Wienerwald fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Norman-Alexander Wellmann was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tuncay Cansever showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. After some careless play in the Degerfors IF defense, Sven-Christian Kaindl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Håkan Söderberg. The Degerfors IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Håkan Söderberg should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the game, Philipp Haberer threw the ball into play from the sideline. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tuncay Cansever to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Tomas Kråk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Björn Gottschling managed to get in a good position for a shot. FV Wienerwald's supporters rose to their feet, but Björn Gottschling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a rather tough play, Degerfors IF's Christian Håkansson got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 86 played minutes FV Wienerwald got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Giesen. Norman-Alexander Wellmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åke Fors, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 90 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Isak. The Degerfors IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FV Wienerwald were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
