Alex Pihl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Nalo in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, ★ Łα ¢αηтєяα ∂єℓ ρσятσ ★'s goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Ulici came free, but Evaristo Ubarna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SK Mons's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Karol Antoszewski scored to the left of an out of position Alex Pihl, making the score, 1-0. Tzanko Mitrushev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Alex Pihl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, SK Mons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Van Houdtvin to maneuver through the defense. Evaristo Ubarna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Ulici in the 31st minute of the match. Alex Pihl made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Karol Antoszewski sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute Serafin Nalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pihl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Karol Antoszewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alex Pihl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Antoszewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Karol Antoszewski could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Alex Pihl however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, SK Mons's Alex Pihl got control of the ball when Karol Antoszewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serafin Nalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Alex Pihl made a huge save. In the 48th minute Leif Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Ubarna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute Tzanko Mitrushev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pihl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SK Mons's Ulisses Sá got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 58 played minutes ★ Łα ¢αηтєяα ∂єℓ ρσятσ ★ got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Emil Vennerkvist. Karol Antoszewski scored 3-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alex Pihl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ★ Łα ¢αηтєяα ∂єℓ ρσятσ ★ made a substitution. Casimiro Feliz replaced Karol Antoszewski. Lennart Libesoons's late challenge caught a ★ Łα ¢αηтєяα ∂єℓ ρσятσ ★'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lennart Libesoons helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SK Mons getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Lennart Libesoons hit a great ball. If Tzanko Mitrushev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SK Mons's Alex Pihl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Feliz in the 80th minute of play. Evaristo Ubarna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cornel Ulici in the 82nd minute. The ★ Łα ¢αηтєяα ∂єℓ ρσятσ ★ fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when ★ Łα ¢αηтєяα ∂єℓ ρσятσ ★'s Tzanko Mitrushev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 88 minutes into the game, Casimiro Feliz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Alex Pihl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Casimiro Feliz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Pihl was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 96th minute Tzanko Mitrushev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pihl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the ★ Łα ¢αηтєяα ∂єℓ ρσятσ ★ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
