Bebeto Queirós started the match with the kick off. Antonio Simone was out of position in the 2 minute of play, and Qiu Feng Guo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Qiu Feng Guo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Qiu Feng Guo got free with Antonio Simone in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Qiu Feng Guo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Simone was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. If Qiu Feng Guo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Qiu Feng Guo got free with Antonio Simone in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Qiu Feng Guo in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Simone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when A.S. Ian Fenomeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego De Lorenzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goalkeeper Antonio Simone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristiaan Van den Haute. The audience was convinced that Michel Batistuta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Simone was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Qiu Feng Guo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Diego De Lorenzi fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.S. In the 39thth minute of the game Michel Batistuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Antonio Simone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 39 played minutes Michel Batistuta could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 3-0 into the left cross. 43 minutes into the game, Purple Talents's Michel Batistuta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Simone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 46 minutes into the match, Purple Talents's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto Queirós came free, but Steve Van der Veeken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel Batistuta to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes A.S. Ian Fenomeni got a freekick which was hit by Diego De Lorenzi. After some careless play in the A.S. Ian Fenomeni defense, Qiu Feng Guo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Simone. The A.S. Ian Fenomeni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Simone should have stopped the shot. Antonio Simone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qiu Feng Guo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Dave Galante kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of A.S. Ian Fenomeni booed when Purple Talents was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Simone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Qiu Feng Guo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Qiu Feng Guo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antonio Simone was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Purple Talents made a substitution. Reemy Godefroid replaced Michel Batistuta. Antonio Simone came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Purple Talents's Qiu Feng Guo. But to his dismay, Qiu Feng Guo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Antonio Simone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qiu Feng Guo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Purple Talents were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after A.S. Ian Fenomeni's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yvan Loos took the corner. The corner led Purple Talents's Jelle Manaers to fire away a dangerous shot which Antonio Simone despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 84th minute Purple Talents were awarded a corner. Yvan Loos went to the cornerflag to take it. Qiu Feng Guo took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Simone. Antonio Simone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. The supporters of A.S. Ian Fenomeni booed when Purple Talents was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Purple Talents's Charl Anthonis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dave Galante in the 91 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Qiu Feng Guo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Simone was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Purple Talents's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
