In the 14th minute, Manoel Barros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mateo Llorienzo. The goal made the score 1-0. Domingo Jago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Oliverio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taci Argün in the 23rd minute of play forced Merengue FC's goalkeeper Mateo Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Taci Argün came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Club Atlético Magallanes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taci Argün couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute Domingo Jago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Oliverio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merengue FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Manoel Barros scored to the left of an out of position Mateo Llorienzo, making the score, 2-0. Leon Oliverio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Jago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Taci Argün could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Mateo Llorienzo however easily saved by the left post. Mateo Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Xabier in the 36th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético Magallanes's Manoel Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mateo Llorienzo. That made the score 3-0 after 39 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Jago to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Merengue FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Nerio to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Xabier struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Mateo Llorienzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Magallanes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manoel Barros in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateo Llorienzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mateo Llorienzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manoel Barros in the 59th minute of the match. Merengue FC's Iker Rojelio got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Domingo Jago had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leon Oliverio. Club Atlético Magallanes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingo Jago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Leon Oliverio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domingo Jago in the 82nd minute. Mateo Llorienzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manoel Barros in the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes in the game, Manoel Barros dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Manoel Barros took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateo Llorienzo. Mateo Llorienzo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Niceto Sendoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leon Oliverio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Sendoa in the 93rd minute of the match. Mateo Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manoel Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atlético Magallanes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
