Emilio Lain ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Emilio Lain almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Gonzez's Eddie Östman did a great save. Eddie Östman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the The Gonzez defense, José Vítor Aparecido kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eddie Östman. The The Gonzez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eddie Östman should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Braga Junior FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Qvalfeldt came free, but Silvinho Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Asmus Molbo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Aron Bengtsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Silvinho Veiga could save by the left post. Silvinho Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pasachai Jitjai, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Pasachai Jitjai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Silvinho Veiga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Aparecido in the 37th minute of play forced The Gonzez's goalkeeper Eddie Östman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Braga Junior FC booed when The Gonzez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Ödmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Braga Junior FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emilio Lain in the 39th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Vítor Aparecido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Elias Hök hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, The Gonzez's goalkeeper Eddie Östman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Vítor Aparecido. After 59 played minutes Braga Junior FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Botelho. Goyo Sánchez made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Per-Oskar Larsfelt. When Ted Ödmann fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Gonzez's protests and gave Ted Ödmann a yellow card for diving instead. Ted Ödmann hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. José Vítor Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eddie Östman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Lain in the 69th minute of play. José Vítor Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eddie Östman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Emilio Lain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Gonzez's goalkeeper Eddie Östman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Braga Junior FC's Hélio Vaz in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
