Alexandre Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afiz Cho in the 18th minute of play. Ulf Öfverman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kong Gang Zhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After 29 played minutes Cremonese FC got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Paraense. Kong Gang Zhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulf Öfverman's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes, Kaká Paraense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cremonese FC and the Brothers of Mercy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Cremonese FC got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Paraense. In the 34th minute, Kaká Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulf Öfverman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the game, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kong Gang Zhan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Emanuel Jurgi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 59th minute of the match Kaká Paraense shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Pires showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ulf Öfverman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Kong Gang Zhan made a huge save. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cremonese FC's goalkeeper Kong Gang Zhan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kong Gang Zhan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Alexandre Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afiz Cho, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute.
