Bruno Nóbrega was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. In the 2nd minute, one of Fabiofs:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fabiofs. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandro Sotilli in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Pombal saved Fabiofs from getting behind. In the 9th minute Sandro Sotilli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Pombal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrianinho Goiano went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Joaquin Molina kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Goiano in the 18th minute of play forced Fabiofs's goalkeeper Jonas Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luizinho Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Pombal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Vitório das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Fabiofs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório das Neves to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Rony Chaves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléber Guimarães in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Hermes saved LOBO 1908 from getting behind. The corner led LOBO 1908's Carlos Paes to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonas Pombal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to LOBO 1908 getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Joaquin Molina hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Dalmo de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fabiofs's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Hermes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. LOBO 1908's Sílvio Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Maraschin in the 40th minute of play. Jonas Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrianinho Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 47th match minute, LOBO 1908 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Souza to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgard Maraschin made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play, LOBO 1908's Adrianinho Goiano made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonas Pombal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adrianinho Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jonas Pombal made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramón Fantini during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Fabiofs getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ramón Fantini hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Adrianinho Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOBO 1908's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrianinho Goiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Hermes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Maraschin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Jonas Pombal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. LOBO 1908's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rony Chaves in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, Fabiofs's Kléber Guimarães got a free kick in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fabiofs's zone, Rony Chaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Pombal came out of the goal and Rony Chaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Edgard Maraschin made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Hermes. LOBO 1908's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Jonas Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrianinho Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrianinho Goiano scored 1-3 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas Pombal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fabiofs's goalkeeper Jonas Pombal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Fabiofs getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Vitório das Neves hit a great ball. Adrianinho Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Jonas Pombal made a huge save. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fabiofs's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rony Chaves was slow to take the kick. During this time LOBO 1908's players had a chance to rest. Adrianinho Goiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Pombal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrianinho Goiano ran back to his position shaking his head. Adrianinho Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Jonas Pombal made a huge save. 93 minutes into the match, LOBO 1908's Adrianinho Goiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Pombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonas Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Arósio in the 96th minute of play. The Fabiofs supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching LOBO 1908's performance. The match ended with a win for LOBO 1908.
