If Llanos Vinegra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute Einar Lilja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marz Arratia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute Bobby Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Atlético Municipal's Che Feliciano in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Einar Lilja kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Marz Arratia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Einar Lilja in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abidin Onar got free with Marz Arratia in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 30 minutes into the match, Abidin Onar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marz Arratia, 1-1. Sérgio Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Antoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the game, Einar Lilja recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marz Arratia. Einar Lilja showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 43 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Che Feliciano came free, but Sérgio Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Municipal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kinsen Calzado in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

LA VIOLA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Llanos Vinegra scored to the left of an out of position Sérgio Urbano, making the score, 2-2. In the 55th minute, Frances Barraza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Urbano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 59th minute Bobby Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 minutes LA VIOLA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kinsen Calzado who took care of the corner kick. In the 65th minute Llanos Vinegra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in LA VIOLA's zone, Frances Barraza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Urbano came out of the goal and Frances Barraza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. LA VIOLA's Sérgio Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Arroyo in the 69th minute of play. Atlético Municipal's Marz Arratia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Einar Lilja in the 72nd minute of play. Sérgio Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Che Feliciano in the 74th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Galtero Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Municipal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LA VIOLA the free kick. Sérgio Urbano was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Bobby Cruz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bobby Cruz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. Sérgio Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llanos Vinegra in the 92nd minute of play. Atlético Municipal's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
