An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Burdzel in the 6th minute of play forced LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Sérgio Urbano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Cyryl Golob. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Qvarnström in the 9th minute of play forced Pogoń Szczecin's goalkeeper Krzysztof Domamir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of LA VIOLA booed when Pogoń Szczecin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaroslaw Ankiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in LA VIOLA's zone, Bartlomiej Wojtowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Urbano came out of the goal and Bartlomiej Wojtowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bartlomiej Wojtowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Sérgio Urbano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartlomiej Wojtowicz. Bartlomiej Wojtowicz struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Sérgio Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pogoń Szczecin. LA VIOLA's Nacho Abril got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Zachariasz Czeszejko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pogoń Szczecin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LA VIOLA the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maria Lunden in the 40th minute of play forced Pogoń Szczecin's goalkeeper Krzysztof Domamir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Krzysztof Domamir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nacho Abril went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Sérgio Urbano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartlomiej Wojtowicz in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After 77 minutes of play, Pogoń Szczecin's Klement Plachetka made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sérgio Urbano was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Einar Lilja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cyryl Golob hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Bartlomiej Wojtowicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sérgio Urbano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartlomiej Wojtowicz ran back to his position shaking his head. LA VIOLA's Sérgio Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartlomiej Wojtowicz in the 85th minute of play. When Pogoń Szczecin's Klement Plachetka in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LA VIOLA's goalie prevented a goal. Pogoń Szczecin's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
