In the 3rd minute 狄夕远 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert-Jan Hermensen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute, 狄夕远 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Robert-Jan Hermensen. The goal made the score 1-0. Huib van der Gun hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Bouzas got free with Robert-Jan Hermensen in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Domenik de Vos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Damas having to interfere. NFC Eagles 22's Huib van der Gun got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. NFC Eagles 22's Robert-Jan Hermensen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save NFC Eagles 22 from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, NFC Eagles 22's Ton de Ruijter got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute, Huib van der Gun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robert-Jan Hermensen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yavuzalp Eroğul in the 24th minute of play. Giovanni Rademaker might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vítor Damas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giovanni Rademaker ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Robert-Jan Hermensen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Bouzas. Robert-Jan Hermensen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bähräm Abduläzimov in the 33rd minute. Robert-Jan Hermensen came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Esquadrão Lusitano's 狄夕远. But to his dismay, 狄夕远 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Diamantino Câmara made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by NFC Eagles 22's Arjan Kun. Diamantino Câmara hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Huib van der Gun took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Damas. Vítor Damas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Huib van der Gun was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Esquadrão Lusitano's goalkeeper Vítor Damas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domenik de Vos. Huib van der Gun might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vítor Damas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Huib van der Gun ran back to his position shaking his head. 55 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Bouzas came free, but Robert-Jan Hermensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert-Jan Hermensen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Bouzas in the 58th minute of the match. NFC Eagles 22's Huib van der Gun got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Yavuzalp Eroğul ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert-Jan Hermensen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 76th minute, Rafael Bouzas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esquadrão Lusitano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by 狄夕远 in the 80th minute of play forced NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Robert-Jan Hermensen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Huib van der Gun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Vítor Damas made a huge save. Robert-Jan Hermensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bähräm Abduläzimov, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Bouzas came free, but Robert-Jan Hermensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esquadrão Lusitano's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
