Academia Militar MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yalapa the free kick. Leandro Urbes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diamantino Magalhães. Academia Militar MZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anier Eudoxio got free with Diamantino Magalhães in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Academia Militar MZ's Diamantino Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Padro in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Gilmar Torres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Constantino Elija was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 23rd match minute, Yalapa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Theodore to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Gilmar Torres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Constantino Elija was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 29th minute, Hélder Custódio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Militar MZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 34 minutes into the game, Gilmar Torres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Constantino Elija was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Bernd Goldsche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38thth minute of the game Bernd Goldsche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yalapa's Constantino Elija was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Constantino Elija made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernd Goldsche in the 40th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Bernd Goldsche notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Yalapa's Constantino Elija. Constantino Elija was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernd Goldsche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Academia Militar MZ's Gilmar Torres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Constantino Elija. That made the score 0-6 after 54 minutes of play. Constantino Elija made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Bernd Goldsche sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Bernd Goldsche took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Constantino Elija to make any attempt to save it. In the 67th minute of the match, Bernd Goldsche tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Constantino Elija saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Yalapa's zone, Bernd Goldsche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantino Elija came out of the goal and Bernd Goldsche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Eustacio Dalmau fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yalapa's protests and gave Eustacio Dalmau a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Yalapa getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Eustacio Dalmau hit a great ball. Constantino Elija took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernd Goldsche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernd Goldsche had several of the Yalapa's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 71 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-9 score and a disappointed Constantino Elija as he didn't even see the shot coming. Diamantino Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Padro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Constantino Elija made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Gilmar Torres sent off a good shot on target. Hélder Custódio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Constantino Elija came out and tried to block the shot, but Hélder Custódio slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 79th minute. Jano Freire hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Anier Eudoxio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yalapa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anier Eudoxio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Constantino Elija made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilmar Torres in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Bernd Goldsche dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Constantino Elija, 0-11. Gilmar Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Constantino Elija made a huge save.
