The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dan Tinu scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wlodzimierz Fleszar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wlodzimierz Fleszar made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Dan Tinu sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Costel Ţintă reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wlodzimierz Fleszar. The goal made the score 2-0. Fabian Mihuț hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Boguslaw Kossakowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grasshoppers Klucze's supporters rose to their feet, but Boguslaw Kossakowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iurie Cocoș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Grasshoppers Klucze booed when Scorpions -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Dobos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Dobos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, Grasshoppers Klucze's Bogdan Rywin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iurie Cocoș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Dorinel Munteanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scorpions -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Dorinel Munteanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wlodzimierz Fleszar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Rywin in the 42nd minute of play forced Scorpions -MM-'s goalkeeper Iurie Cocoș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Scorpions -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Rywin came free, but Iurie Cocoș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Scorpions -MM-'s Vasile Onitiu was substituted for Aurelian Dănănae. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Costel Ţintă made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Dobromir Kondysar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Ferdinand Chirculescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Chirculescu in the 61st minute of play forced Grasshoppers Klucze's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Fleszar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dobromir Kondysar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iurie Cocoș. That made the score 2-4 in the 64 minute of play. After 69 minutes, Costel Ţintă made it 3-4 with a short kick to the right side. Grasshoppers Klucze's Wlodzimierz Fleszar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wlodzimierz Fleszar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Chirculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Iurie Cocoș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Rywin in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Szczepan Zagrodny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grasshoppers Klucze's supporters rose to their feet, but Szczepan Zagrodny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iurie Cocoș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Radomir Zieba hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Ferdinand Chirculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Bogdan Rywin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iurie Cocoș. Scorpions -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogdan Rywin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5.
