But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael van Zeggeren couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael van Zeggeren in the 10th minute of play forced C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's goalkeeper Gaudencio Eufemio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Niek Bemmel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th match minute, C. A. Gral. Lamadrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Balasi to maneuver through the defense. Rafael van Zeggerens short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Gaudencio Eufemio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Best Junel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gert Korevaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Eufemio having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Erben Medgyesi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FFC Merainies 03 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Geronimo Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. FFC Merainies 03 were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Youri Bemmel took the corner. The corner ended in Gert Korevaar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's Gaudencio Eufemio did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's zone, Gert Korevaar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Eufemio came out of the goal and Gert Korevaar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pablo Vegetti in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Best Junel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute, Niek Bemmel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Geronimo Arce hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Pablo Vegetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Best Junel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael van Zeggeren was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Korevaar came free, but Gaudencio Eufemio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaudencio Eufemio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael van Zeggeren in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute FFC Merainies 03 were awarded a corner. Youri Bemmel went to the cornerflag to take it. FFC Merainies 03's Youri Bemmel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gaudencio Eufemio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Rafael van Zeggeren managed to get in a good position for a shot. FFC Merainies 03's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael van Zeggeren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Eufemio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FFC Merainies 03's Best Junel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Vegetti in the 65th minute of play. FFC Merainies 03 were furious when Merijan Bemmel was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Best Junel had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Victorino Lyadzhin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Victorino Lyadzhin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Best Junel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Vegetti in the 76th minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Best Junel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Best Junel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emiliano Louis. 86 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Vegetti came free, but Best Junel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gert Korevaar in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaudencio Eufemio saved C. A. Gral. Lamadrid from getting behind.
