In the 10thth minute of the game Mario Syafruddin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manly FC's Sydney Ross was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Syafruddin in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sydney Ross saved Manly FC from getting behind. Randle Rutledge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Sahala Ginting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute Mario Syafruddin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Ross saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Battle Dowsing hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Randle Rutledge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sahala Ginting was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After a rather tough play, Bestone 716 - Jakarta's Gogon Trihatmodjo got a free kick in the 51st minute. Mourad Rocchi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sahala Ginting read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Randle Rutledge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sahala Ginting. That made the score 0-3 in the 55 minute of play. Sydney Ross stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yanto Chaniago's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Syafruddin came free, but Sydney Ross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Randle Rutledge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sahala Ginting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes, Chairil Birowo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bestone 716 - Jakarta and the Manly FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Mourad Rocchi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Manly FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Manly FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
