A beautiful save bye Pheonix FC's goalie prevented a goal. Tim Johnstone was a little too slow when Wolfgang Vesterø got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Tyge Oehlerich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyrone Meehan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, The Tigers's Jonatan Fredericksen got a free kick in the 17th minute. With a little luck, The Tigers's Tim Johnstone got control of the ball when Wolfgang Vesterø tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Wolfgang Vesterø recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tim Johnstone. Thanks to some nice moves Wolfgang Vesterø could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Tim Johnstone however easily saved by the left post. After 30 minutes The Tigers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcel Militaru who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Pheonix FC's Torbjørn Præstensgaard getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Tyge Oehlerich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionuț Mureșan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Marcel Militaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wolfgang Vesterø could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Tim Johnstone made a huge save. Wolfgang Vesterø struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Tim Johnstone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pheonix FC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ionuț Mureșan made a kick off. 58 minutes into the match, The Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Wolfgang Vesterø came free, but Tim Johnstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Tigers's goalkeeper Tim Johnstone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Rio Blewitt in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pheonix FC's Jonathan Rosby. Tyge Oehlerich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Atkins in the 93rd minute of play. Tim Johnstone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wolfgang Vesterø in the 94th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in The Tigers's zone, Wolfgang Vesterø stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Johnstone came out of the goal and Wolfgang Vesterø tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pheonix FC had won after a very even match.
