Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) C.A. GUAYACO's Mendoza Joseph started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mendoza Joseph took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walter Fransson. Walter Fransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Fire Devils getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Thaddäus Striner hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Thaddäus Striner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mendoza Joseph could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Walter Fransson made a huge save. A hard shot by Juan-Pablo Dorrial from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Walter Fransson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 22nd minute of the match Fire Devils got a corner. C.A. GUAYACO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Franco Verdon ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Franco Verdon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga did a great save. A hard shot 24 in the game by Mendoza Joseph from a close distance when the talented Walter Fransson managed to make a qualified save. Fire Devils's players were relieved. Mendoza Joseph had several of the Fire Devils's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Walter Fransson as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a defensive mix-up in Fire Devils's zone, Armando Paniagua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Fransson came out of the goal and Armando Paniagua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute of the match, Mendoza Joseph tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walter Fransson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fire Devils's Walter Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mendoza Joseph in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, George Temes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. GUAYACO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fire Devils the free kick. George Temes hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Oso Amezaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Saenger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mendoza Joseph in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Walter Fransson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loris Hellmüller in the 44th minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goalkeeper Walter Fransson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mendoza Joseph. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francis Aberle to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lukas Schallberger got free with Oso Amezaga in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oso Amezaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Aberle in the 53rd minute of play. After 56th play minutes Loris Hellmüller shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Oso Amezaga and just under the crossbar into goal. Armando Paniagua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walter Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Paniagua in the 62nd minute of play. Oso Amezaga made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Lukas Schallberger sent off a good shot on target. Oso Amezaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francis Aberle, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Fire Devils's Walter Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Pablo Dorrial in the 95th minute of play.
