After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Bonifacio Oliverio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting de Gijón's supporters rose to their feet, but Bonifacio Oliverio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urbano Firman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Dichiseanu in the 11th minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Fausto George to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Oliverio. 15 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Dichiseanu came free, but Fausto George reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Fractal FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Wilfredo Eleder hit a great ball. Sporting de Gijón's Fausto George played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Dichiseanu in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fractal FC's Jonathan Loren got a free kick in the 24th minute. With a little luck, Fractal FC's Urbano Firman got control of the ball when Angel Di Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute, Igor de Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto George was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting de Gijón's zone, Igor de Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto George came out of the goal and Igor de Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bonifacio Oliverio hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Igor de Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto George was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 75th minute Igor de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto George saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor de Sousas short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Fausto George to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 81 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Fausto George had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor de Sousa. Fausto George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Dichiseanu in the 86th minute of the match. Olimpiu Dichiseanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fausto George came out and tried to block the shot, but Olimpiu Dichiseanu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 88th minute. Fausto George didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor de Sousa went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. 96 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Dichiseanu came free, but Fausto George reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fractal FC's Gaudencio Tirso got a free kick in the 99th minute. The Sporting de Gijón fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fractal FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
